Day 18 of Things I Love

A group of friends from Centerburg rented out Snow Trails for a few hours to
have some fun.  It was a beautiful day to snow tube.  The sun was shining, it was warm, and good friends laughing and having good family fun.

Day 17 of Things I LOVE!

THURSDAY!

Why do you ask?  

My house gets cleaned and not by me!

Those of you that know me well know I am not a housekeeper.  

Don't get me wrong, I pick up and everything has its place but, the house gets a good professional cleaning on Thursdays.  All I have to do is maintain it which make my life much easier.   

Scott and I have had a cleaning lady for most of our married life. 

It makes our marriage work is what he will tell you.  

I will have to agree.  I don't have to spend Saturdays scrubbing the house down and 

getting mad at him because I would rather do just about anything else than clean.  

We have had the house cleaner we have ow for about 5 years.  

I LOVE HER! 

If I had to rank her on the top 10 things I love she would be # 1 besides Scott and the kids of course.  

She is worth all the coupons I cut and things I have to live without to have her come.

Day 15 of Things I Love

Honda Odyssey

When the twins were born Scott said we should think about getting a mini van.

I said, HECK NO! I do not drive mini vans.  

I am a truck/SUV person not a MV which is what I called them because 

I even refused to say the word 

MINI VAN.  

Anyway, when the twins were 5 months old Scott took me to dealerships to look at, 

you guessed it MINI VANS.

Needless to say I was not happy.  

I pouted and refused to act interested until...

he took me to the Honda dealership and had me drive the Odyssey.

All I told him was that if he was going to make me drive a MV then it would have to be the Honda.  

He bought Vannie, a 2001 silver Honda Odyssey the next day.  

We had Vannie for almost 10 years before she went to Junk Yard Heaven.  

Vannie had 215,000 miles on her before she got rear ended in December. 

We now have a newer Odyssey which we named Winnie.

Like I said in a previous post we like to name the things we love in our house.

Day 14 of the Things I Love 

Todays picture would have been a picture of my Dyson.  

Its name is Bob Frank Yakatori.

We like to name things that we love in our house.  

Olivia liked the name Yakatori and wanted up to name Ryan that. 

We said NO! So we named the sweeper.  

Bob and Frank?  Who knows?  Ethan came up with Bob and Olivia yelled Frank so there

you go... Bob Frank Yakatori was adopted on Mother's Day last year.

Bob came to live with us a year ago.  

Our carpets have never been cleaner because he really sucks.  HAHA

Day 10 of Things I Love

Chocolate

I wish I had some really good chocolate to photograph but
I have decided I am addicted and I currently do not have  any of the GOOD stuff
in the house.  I had to settle for taking a picture of chocolate chips.

My Sonicare toothbrush!

This is literally the best toothbrush I have ever owned!
They are totally worth the money.
My mouth has never felt so clean and my teeth have never been shinier.
Santa brought the rest of the family one for Christmas.

Day 6 of things I love.

GLASS!

Paperweights.
I collect paperweights, but not just any paperweights.
I don't like ones with flowers, fish, butterflies, sea horses,
etc... in them.  I like swirls and color.
These are just a few of my collection.  

Karg is on of my favorite paperweight artist.  
I like how Karg twists the
glass to make swirls and bubbles so I gave it a try.
I own 5 Karg paperweights.
However...
Karg did not make this one...
I did.
My sister Jill and I took a class at Glass Axis in Columbus a few years ago to learn
how to make our own paperweights.  This is my design I came up with inspired by Karg. 

Dale Chihuly is another glass artist who inspires me.
I love the movement of the glass he can accomplish.
I know what you are thinking...
Did I make this?
 NO!
This is not a real Chihuly.
I can not justify spending a few thousand dollars
on a piece of glass to put in my house that there is a chance
a kid will break.
This is a vase I bought at...
Are you ready???
BIG LOTS.
The price was $9.99.  The sticker is still on the bottom.
It doesn't matter to me that it is not a "real" Chihuly.  I still like it. 

Bellagio Casino in Vegas has an awesome Chihuly display on their
ceiling.  This is a picture I took of the ceiling in the Bellagio lobby.
If you are ever in Vegas you need to check it out!
It truly is amazing and this picture does not do it justice.

Day 2 of things I LOVE!

Okay, there is nothing really special about todays picture but I thought it was

appropriate since we have been without electricity last night and most of today.

So here it is...

I LOVE ELECTRICITY!
 I do not like darkness.
You can ask Scott, I am a junkie when it comes to electric.
I don't like to ever be without it.
I start driving him crazy after an hour.
