I took a few days off.  

I am back.  

Ryan got into a bag of popcorn and dumped it so he could chow down.

Best Buds

Jake driving Ryan around in the Gator.
Here's the story.
Jake cons Ryan into getting in the Gator and as soon as Ryan gets in Jake
takes off.  Ryan hates Jake's driving.
Ryan starts screaming and when Jake eventually stops,
Ryan jumps out and starts yelling and running away from Jake.
This happens over and over.
You would think that Ryan would learn not get in the Gator
with Jake but he keeps getting in.  
Of course, Jill and I just sit and watch the event and laugh.
We are such good mom's.  LOL!

When Ryan needs to take a nap I say close your eyes and he does.
Every once in a while he peeks to see if you are looking at him.

not driving down the road when I took these pictures.

Thomas Edison (Morgan Mead)
Anyone know what he invented?
One of my favorite things... The light bulb!
Edison also has 1093 patents in his name.
I know now you want to go look and see what else he invented, don't you?  

Jack Hannah (Kaia Newberry)
He isn't from Ohio but he became famous why he lived here.

Woody Hayes (Jillian McDougal)
Woody almost ran out of gas while driving in Michigan because he refused
to buy gas in the state of Michigan.  

James Jeffries (Parker Davis)
James was a world heavy weight champion. 

Judy Resnik (Emma Bentz)
Judy was an engineer  and astronaut on the Space Shuttle Challenger.
She died January 28, 1986 when the shuttle exploded during take off.
I remember were were off school that day and the TV was on and we were watching the launch.
Sad day in history! 

Halle Berry (Madeline Elfrink)
Halle is an actress, model, and beauty queen.

Phyliss Diller (Chloe Merriman)
She is an actress and comedienne.  She was known for her crazy hair!

Clark Gable (Cada Schmidt)
Clark is giving my mom his autograph.
Clark is my mom's favorite actor of all time.
My mom went home and watched Gone with the Wind for the
millionth time after meeting him Thursday.  

Phyliss Diller (Sophie Compton)
There were 2 Phyliss Diller's at the fair.
She was also know for her crazy laugh.

Doris Day
Olivia picked Doris Day as her famous Ohioan.
Doris is one of my mom's favorite old time actresses.
Olivia did the outfit all by herself.
Below is Olivia's speech.
She makes a pretty brown haired Doris Day, don't you think?

My name is Doris Day.
I am from Cincinnati, Ohio.
I was born on April 3, 1924.
I am still living.
I am famous because I am an actress, singer, and animal rights activist.
Some things you may not know about me are
when I was about ready to preform the car I was in was struck by a train and crushed my right leg
and when I was 17 I added 2 years to my age so I could preform with big bands.

There were lots of famous Ohioans at the fair.  Here are a few.

Drew Carey

In 4th grade the students have to do research on a famous Ohioan. 

Ethan picked Drew Carey.  

Ethan is so funny but he doesn't show that side of himself often.

I think it was a perfect pick for him.    

Below is Ethan's speech about Drew.  

Hello, my name is Drew Carey.  I am from Cleveland, Ohio.
I was born on May 23, 1958.
I am still living.
I am famous because I have my own shows and I am a comedian.
Two interesting things you may not know about me is
I competed in the WWF 30 man rumble and I have an honorary PhD from
Cleveland State University.

80's Prom Party

Scott and I were invited to an 80's Prom Party at a friends house.
These are the outfits we wore for the party.  

Me sporting a homemade corsage and hair piece made by me,
pink hair extentions, and plenty of blue make-up.
BTW... Claire's has a whole 80's section in their store.

I know you are asking, Why did Scott have a tux in college?
He was in concert band and work in catering on the side.
He also wore this tux when he proposed to me.
He was excited he still fit in it.

Olivia has been doing Zumba with Scott and I.  

She is actually really good for an 11 year old. 

She had the Zumba instructors daughter over this weekend.

Olivia is a very smart girl!

She conned her tiny little brother into pushing her on her scooter down the road.

He pushed her for quite a while too.  He was having a ball until he fell 

and skinned his knee and elbow.  

Ryan got tired of pushing so she gave him a ride.

Ryan got a boo boo.

He got 2 band-aids.
Other than the pediatricians office giving him a band-aid when they give him a shot he
has never had a band-aid before.  

Here is the band-aid on his knee.

What is this sticky thing on my arm?
He kept saying, "It's stuck! It's stuck!" and he would point to the band-aids.
He left them on for a whole 10 minutes.
