Day 28 of Things I Love
This is the last day of the Things I Love series.  YIPEEE!
Picture provided by Billie Mitchell Photography.
Click HERE to go to her website.
In the background is the Big Blue Truck.  This truck was my dad's
work truck for years.  It hauled his bulldozer to and from jobs everyday.
When my dad decided to retire he couldn't part with Ole Blue because we would clean it up
every 4th of July and throw candy off the back.  It became a family tradition.
Dad took off the old dozer bed and converted it into a parade truck.
You can find us every 4th of July in the Centerburg and Sunbury parades.  We can also be seen
at the Old Time Farming Festival Parade the 3rd week in September.

Day 27 of Things I Love
My NIKON S8000 Point and Shoot
with HD video

I love my point and shoot.  It fits right in my pocket and perfect for a
day at the beach, snow tubing, taking short video clips, etc...
I don't even own a video camera.
I use the video setting and it takes the perfect HD quality videos.

Day 26 of Things I Love

If you do not have a dog then the Shark sweeper is the next best thing.
My shark will literally pick up anything that is dropped on the floor.

Day 25 of Things I Love
I know it is winter but I do love air conditioning!
I would like to thank the Father of Cool,
Willis Haviland Carrier
for the wonderful invention of the
Air Conditioner.

Day 24 of Things I Love
My Belgium Waffle Maker

Chocolate Chip, Banana Nut Waffles
Yumm, Yumm...  If you put your nose close to the screen you can smell them cooking.

Day 23 of Things I Love
My Hair Stylist,

I love the highlights she puts in my hair.

I don't have a picture of her but if you click HERE you can go to her
facebook page.

Day 22 of Things I Love
Perfect Brownie  Pan

I love the PBP!  It really does make the perfect brownies.
What I hate about making brownies is cutting them.
This pan automatically has the brownies cut into the perfect size and
they look beautiful too.

The PBP with the divider in.
The PBP makes 18 perfect brownies.

The PBP has a break away bottom.

Look at those perfect brownies!  Perfectly cut!
Things I have made in the PBP.
Corn bread, muffins, cake, cookies, and of course brownies.
Can you think of anything else that would be good in the PBP?

Day 21 Of Things I Love
My Couch
This picture does not really do the couch justice.
It was hard to get the lighting right and my camera set right because I was using my Nikon point and shoot.
It does not let me custom change things.
Basically I was too lazy to change the lens on my camera to the regular one.
(Scott, if you are reading this, it is a hint that I need a lens like the one Billie currently has on her camera.  Hint Hint)
The couch is chocolate with lime green pillows.

Day 20 of Things I Love

I love the ability to tape shows and watch them.  I hate commercials...
Especially political ones.

One of the greatest inventions ever made besides air conditioning.

Day 19 of Things I Love
My Refrigerator
We just got it so we haven't named it yet.
Any suggestions?

Day 18 of Things I Love
Snow Tubing
Scott looking sexy on the conveyor belt.

Ethan and his friend Gavin riding up.
Sledding hill.  Picture provided by Stephanie Newberry.

My friend Valerie Thatcher.

A group of friends from Centerburg rented out Snow Trails for a few hours to
have some fun.  It was a beautiful day to snow tube.  The sun was shining, it was warm, and good friends laughing and having good family fun.

Day 17 of Things I LOVE!

Why do you ask?
My house gets cleaned and not by me!
Those of you that know me well know I am not a housekeeper.
Don't get me wrong, I pick up and everything has its place but, the house gets a good professional cleaning on Thursdays.  All I have to do is maintain it which make my life much easier.
Scott and I have had a cleaning lady for most of our married life.
It makes our marriage work is what he will tell you.
I will have to agree.  I don't have to spend Saturdays scrubbing the house down and
getting mad at him because I would rather do just about anything else than clean.
We have had the house cleaner we have ow for about 5 years.
If I had to rank her on the top 10 things I love she would be # 1 besides Scott and the kids of course.
She is worth all the coupons I cut and things I have to live without to have her come.

Day 15 of Things I Love
Honda Odyssey

When the twins were born Scott said we should think about getting a mini van.
I said, HECK NO! I do not drive mini vans.
I am a truck/SUV person not a MV which is what I called them because
I even refused to say the word
Anyway, when the twins were 5 months old Scott took me to dealerships to look at,
you guessed it MINI VANS.
Needless to say I was not happy.
I pouted and refused to act interested until...
he took me to the Honda dealership and had me drive the Odyssey.
All I told him was that if he was going to make me drive a MV then it would have to be the Honda.
He bought Vannie, a 2001 silver Honda Odyssey the next day.
We had Vannie for almost 10 years before she went to Junk Yard Heaven.
Vannie had 215,000 miles on her before she got rear ended in December.
We now have a newer Odyssey which we named Winnie.
Like I said in a previous post we like to name the things we love in our house.

Day 14 of the Things I Love

Todays picture would have been a picture of my Dyson.
Its name is Bob Frank Yakatori.

We like to name things that we love in our house.
Olivia liked the name Yakatori and wanted up to name Ryan that.
We said NO! So we named the sweeper.
Bob and Frank?  Who knows?  Ethan came up with Bob and Olivia yelled Frank so there
you go... Bob Frank Yakatori was adopted on Mother's Day last year.

Bob came to live with us a year ago.
Our carpets have never been cleaner because he really sucks.  HAHA

Day 12 of Things I Love
I love my iPod and my BOSE docking station.

Shhhh...Can you hear the music?  It is Shakira singing "Loca".
I am crazy and you like it, Loca Loca, Loca!

Day 11 of Things I Love
I thought this would be a good post since the temperature has been so cold!
If you sit next to the heater while viewing this post you can feel the warmth.

Shells Olivia collected on the beach.
Sunset overlooking Anna Maria Island.
Putting sand in a bucket.
Olivia and Ryan building a drip sand castle.

Ethan digging a hole to China.
Don't you wish you were there right now?

Day 10 of Things I Love
I wish I had some really good chocolate to photograph but
I have decided I am addicted and I currently do not have  any of the GOOD stuff
in the house.  I had to settle for taking a picture of chocolate chips.
I really LOVE Lindor Truffles!

***No chocolate was harmed or eaten for this photo shoot. ***

Day 9 of Things I Love

Scott got me a Cannon T1i for Christmas.
I am still learning how to use it.

Day 8 of Things I Love
My APPLE MacBook

I love my APPLE!
Best computer I have ever had.

Monday, February 7, 2011

Day 7 of Things I Love
My Sonicare toothbrush!
This is literally the best toothbrush I have ever owned!
They are totally worth the money.
My mouth has never felt so clean and my teeth have never been shinier.
Santa brought the rest of the family one for Christmas.

Day 6 of things I love.

I collect paperweights, but not just any paperweights.
I don't like ones with flowers, fish, butterflies, sea horses,
etc... in them.  I like swirls and color.
These are just a few of my collection.

Karg is on of my favorite paperweight artist.
I like how Karg twists the
glass to make swirls and bubbles so I gave it a try.
I own 5 Karg paperweights.
Karg did not make this one...
I did.
My sister Jill and I took a class at
Glass Axis in Columbus a few years ago to learn
how to make our own paperweights.  This is my design I came up with inspired by Karg.

Dale Chihuly is another glass artist who inspires me.
I love the movement of the glass he can accomplish.
I know what you are thinking...
Did I make this?
This is not a real Chihuly.
I can not justify spending a few thousand dollars
on a piece of glass to put in my house that there is a chance
a kid will break.
This is a vase I bought at...
Are you ready???
The price was $9.99.  The sticker is still on the bottom.
It doesn't matter to me that it is not a "real" Chihuly.  I still like it.

Bellagio Casino in Vegas has an awesome Chihuly display on their
ceiling.  This is a picture I took of the ceiling in the Bellagio lobby.
If you are ever in Vegas you need to check it out!
It truly is amazing and this picture does not do it justice.

Day 5 of the things I love.

Ethan loves being outside.
Making a silly face because I asked him if I could take his picture and this is his "HURRY UP" face.

Dirt bike riding with Dad.  Do I see air under those tires?

It is not natural for a boy to have such long eyelashes.

I love that face!

Isn't he a cutie?
Ethan loves water of any kind whether it is snow, ice or liquid
you can always find him
playing with some state of water.
I love this grin on his face.
He is such a sweet, funny boy.

Day 4 of things I love.
I did not take this picture but YES those are her real eyelashes.
(Billie Mitchell of Billie Mitchell Photography took this picture.
You can check her out at...
Picture published with permission.)
Olivia was mad at me.  Can you tell?
This is her mad, irritated face.
My silly girl.  Always making funny faces.
Trying on hats.  Olivia looks good in anything.
I love that smile!
My beautiful girl!
